Since 1987, Make A Wish has served over 4,500 children in Massachusetts and over 1,000 children in Rhode Island. For its first wish, this chapter gave a family trip to York Beach for a little girl with Niemann-Pick Disease. Since then, it has grown from granting a single wish in the first year to striving for 400 wishes in 2011. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Massachusetts and Rhode Island has regional offices located in Boston, West Springfield, and Providence.
