Walk For Wishes To Support Massachusetts And Rhode Island Kids

Posted in Donate Car Massachusetts and Rhode Island News, Thursday, March 7, 2013

Even if the snow is still piled up outside, it’s time to grab your walking shoes for the Walk For Wishes to benefit Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. There are two walks to choose from so you can pick the one that’s most convenient for you: Sunday, March 10, at the Holyoke Mall in Holyoke, Mass., or Sunday, April 7, at Warwick Mall in Warwick, R.I. You won’t have to deal with any lingering signs of winter because you’ll be indoors, so you can focus only on granting the wish of a local child by raising money.

If you can’t make the walk, you can still contribute by donating a vehicle to Wheels For Wishes benefiting Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Either way, you can help grant the wish of a local child in your community.

Make A Difference In Your Own Community

Participating in a Walk For Wishes allows you to personally make a difference in the community you live in. Registration is $25 for adults and $10 for children under 18 years old. Wish kids and their immediate family members are free of charge.

Friends and family can support you by easily making a donation on the event’s secure website. The more money you raise, the more Wish Kids in your community will benefit. Last year, the two walks raised more than $38,000 while bringing more than 500 participants together.

Walkers can register as teams, so if you have a group of family, friends or co-workers, you get form a team and start raising money today!

Register Online Today

Walkers can register online for either of the walks. If you are unable to attend, you can still sponsor another walker, or make a general donation. Or, you can always donate a car to Wheels For Wishes, where your car will be transformed into a wish for a local child.

When you Walk for Wishes, you will feel great about bringing joy and hope to a local child. Wish kids also attend and they will get so much joy from seeing how many caring, supportive people are there walking for them!
